Who We Are

The Churches of the Beginning is a coalition of churches, ministries, professional musicians and psalmists who recognize the need for mentorship, networking and fellowship.

Acts 2:38-47

38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.  

39 For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the LORD our God shall call.  

40  And with many other words did he testify and exhort, saying, Save yourselves from this untoward generation.

41  Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls.  

42  And they continued stedfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.  

43  And fear came upon every soul: and many wonders and signs were done by the apostles.

44  And all that believed were together, and had all things common;

45  And sold their possessions and goods, and parted them to all men, as every man had need.

46  And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart,

47 Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.

The Churches of the Beginning like the Church of Acts will:
*Be filled and led by the Holy Spirit
*Devote themselves to the apostle’s teaching and fellowship,
*Live a lifestyle of prayer,
*Worship and Praise God, and
*the Lord  will add unto the Church daily (experience growth).


Mission

To help churches and ministries become strong and successful, thus impacting their communities, surrounding states and the nations.

Mentoring

Through the Churches of the Beginning (COTB), you have the opportunity to receive the impartation of apostolic ministry, Bishop Ernest E. Hunter and Apostle  Laequinla Hunter’s personal life experiences, spiritual mentoring, life coaching and organizational training, that will expand your knowledge and ensure the success of your ministry, marriage and entire life.

Networking

Being a part of the COTB opens great networking opportunities with other pastors locally and nationally that have the same drive for advancing the Kingdom of God. These God-ordained connections develop covenant partnerships where the Glory of God increases in power and effectiveness so that we can be empowered to complete the work of God.

Consultation

Churches of the Beginning Administration/Training Team Members have a plethora of resources and information available to them through the COTB Professional Staff. Our staff is armed with knowledge and a wealth of information. The Staff is eager to assist with any concerns or challenges within your ministry.

The Gathering of the King’s Sons and Daughters Convocation and Refreshings  The Churches of the Beginning will hold three (3) Gatherings each year.  The Gatherings are for all member churches to assemble together to receive spiritual empowerment and impartation through relevant worship, preaching and teaching. Three Gatherings 1  Convocation 2 Refreshings  are designed to keep pastors and ministers recharged to do the work of the Kingdom.
